A low-cost way to improve the ride, quietness and service life of your 4WD is to replace the spring and shackle and control arm bushes with an engineered, premium-quality brand.
In the motor industry, SuperPro urethane bushes are widely regarded as the best in the business. There are cheaper brands in the marketplace, but (as the saying goes) ‘you only get what you pay for’.

When raising a coil-sprung 4WD higher than 2 inches, many people try to save a few dollars by retaining the original panhard rods. Or, as often happens, the suspension ‘specialist’ doesn’t even suggest aftermarket replacements – as the addition of these items will increase the quote, and may mean a lost job for the workshop.
Generally, raising coil-sprung vehicles will result in the axles being pulled toward one side. This is because the fixed-length panhard rods are forced to operate at a steeper angle.

Our extended shackles are a great way of increase ride height without increasing the original spring rates. Typically, our shackles will provide 2 inches of lift over the original height. They are engineered to the highest quality, powder-coated and include chrome-moly greasable pins. Extended shackles are available to suit most leaf-sprung versions of Hilux, Landcruiser, Rodeo, Navara, Sierra and Patrol.
